Raised in Compton, married at a young age, divorced 10 years later (with 2 children) a single parent for 4 years & being dependent on God for everything. I had a strong family to help me through the hard times. Later remarried to an awesome man who is a Pastor (with 3 children). Dealing with the struggles of keeping a blended family together, marriage itself and how we have to keep our husband’s uplifted and keep watch on where the enemy can come in to kill, steal & destroy.
God put Women of the Challenge on my heart, because we need an outlet we can go to, to share our challenges with others & to be that vessel God can use. To give advice to women who are looking for the right way out, not the world’s way out. This show will equip you with the tools you need, to get to the next level God wants to take you & to show you that you are not alone in your situation. God will not leave you and he’s still working it out.

God Bless,

Meet the Women of the Challenge Founders

My name is Mary Morfin. I am 70 years old. I am married and have 5 children, 2 boys and 3 beautiful daughters. I have 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. I am African American and my husband is Mexican. I was born in Mississippi and raised in St. Louis. I came to Southern California in 1956 and that’s when I feel I started my life journey. I was 18 years old, I had already had my first child, a boy, whose father was a married man and had lied to me. I should have listened to my parents who were good Christian people, but I wanted to leave home because we were very poor. So I did it my way and it made things worse. Because this happened to me, I began to hate men, so every man I met, I would go out with them, get them so drunk until they would pass out, then I would take all their money then leave them wherever we was. I never felt sorry for them. They didn’t know me and I didn’t know them. I never worked the same area twice.
You see, God has always watched over me because of my dear mother’s prayers. She never gave up on me. I’m just sharing a little bit of my life’s story now and I will share much more later.
As co-founder of Women of the Challenge, I sincerely believe that giving Godly direction with God’s word and sharing our testimonies’ with young women, middle age and older women. God will help them to know that God is love and he is always there for them. He will restore them and bring hope and peace back to them, in Jesus name.

WOTC,
Mary Morfin
